Who we are

Media Buyer Alerts (“Media Buyer Alerts,” “we,” “our”) is operated by Hit Factory Apps Inc., a Canadian corporation. We act as the data controller for personal information collected through this service.

What we collect

  • Email address: collected at sign-up and used to send you a one-time sign-in link and code. Media Buyer Alerts is passwordless — we never ask for or store a password.
  • Mobile phone number: the number you provide so we can send you SMS alerts. We verify it via a one-time code.
  • Alert preferences:which plan tier you're on (which platforms you receive alerts for) and whether you've paused alerts.
  • Consent record:an immutable log of when you agreed to receive SMS, including the wording shown, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. Required by TCPA / A2P 10DLC compliance.
  • Billing info:handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We do receive a customer ID and subscription metadata so we can determine which alerts you're entitled to.
  • SMS delivery records: for each alert we send, we record the rendered body, delivery status, and timestamps.

How we use it

  • Send the SMS alerts you signed up to receive.
  • Bill your subscription via Stripe.
  • Comply with anti-spam and SMS-compliance laws (TCPA, A2P 10DLC, CASL).
  • Diagnose service problems and improve the product.

We never sell or share your phone number

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

More broadly: we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. The only parties that ever receive your information are the subprocessors listed below, strictly so they can help us operate the service.

Subprocessors

We use a small number of US-based service providers to operate the platform. Personal information may be transferred to and stored in the United States.

  • Supabase (database, authentication)
  • Vercel (web app and background worker hosting)
  • Stripe (subscription billing)
  • Twilio (SMS delivery and phone verification)

Canadian PIPEDA

Hit Factory Apps Inc. is subject to Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and request its deletion. To exercise any of those rights, email support@mediabuyeralerts.com. We will respond within 30 days.

By using Media Buyer Alerts, you consent to the cross-border transfer of your personal information to the United States subprocessors listed above for the purposes described in this policy.

Cookies

We use a single first-party authentication cookie (provided by Supabase) to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other sites.

Retention and deletion

We retain account data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward (up to 24 months) for accounting and dispute resolution. Consent records are retained as long as your account exists, per TCPA / A2P 10DLC documentation requirements. To request earlier deletion, email support@mediabuyeralerts.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current revision. Material changes will be communicated by email and/or SMS.
